A 2.5D Permadeath Bullet-Hell MMO

GODMAW

Nobody is coming. Beat it back, forever.

A drowned cathedral of dead computation, shared by hundreds of players at once. Dodge the bullet-storm, loot the dark, trade on a real player-run market, and grow — knowing one bad dodge ends the run.

The pitch

It's RotMG — rebuilt with the parts that were always missing.

GODMAW keeps the soul that made Realm of the Mad God unforgettable — twitch bullet-hell combat, sharp classes, real permadeath, the dungeon → loot → grow loop — and layers on the single best idea from a decade of online games: an EVE-grade, dupe-proof player economy, permadeath with real mercy, and drop-in online co-op. Not a clone. The thing RotMG could have grown into.

Why it's different

Four pillars, one descent

The loop is sacred. Everything else is built to make it matter more — and to make sure nothing you earn can be cheated away.

01

Bullet-hell, skill > gear

Hundreds of telegraphed bullets fill the screen. Read them or die. The power gap is deliberately bounded — a great player on starter loot beats a careless one in god-gear. You earn survival, you don't buy it.

02

A real player economy

A server-wide, order-book market where players set every price. Each item is exactly one row in a ledger — atomic, server-authoritative, structurally impossible to duplicate. The dupe exploits that killed RotMG's economy simply cannot happen here.

03

Permadeath, with mercy

One run, one life — but your home, your wealth, and your reputation never die. Channel a recall when it gets hairy and live to descend again. The stakes are real; the months you invested are not erased by a single twitch.

04

Co-op with friends

Drop into the same realm as a friend over the internet and beat back the Wreck together. Fully server-authoritative — shared loot, synced bullets, no dupes, no trust required. The descent is better with someone watching your back.
